THIS MONTHS PROFILE IS ON MICHAEL STRINGER FROM CAERNARFON , GWYNEDD
Mike started keeping Budgerigars in 1982 but unfortunatley had to give the hobby up due to ill health in 1990. He restarted in the hobby in 1997 purchasing birds from Ernie Sigston who at the time had a lot of Mannes bloodline in his stud. Since then he has added birds from Gerald Binks and Jo Mannes. He keeps approximatley about 100 birds and usually breeds 130 youngsters every year. Mike exhibits at Intermediate level and has been very successful with wins of Best Intermediate young Bird at Blackpool and Clwyd, he had a very successful B.S Club Show in 2002 winning 2nd Best intermediate young bird, Best opposite sex Blue series Spangle, 2nd Best Green series Spangle in Show, Best Intermediate Lutino Any Age and Best Lutino young Bird.
Mike showed at the new Show at Y Felinheli ( Gwynedd ) in 2007 winning Best Any Age and the Challenge Certificate for Grey Green and Opaline Green, he hasn't shown as much as he would have liked in recent years due to ill health.Below are some photographs of some of his quality Birds.
